An engineer who builds the software

I’m a mechatronics engineer (MEng Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics, University of Southampton) who ended up building the software a company runs on. I joined a boatbuilder in Bahrain on the engineering and quality side, saw how much of the work was manual, and became its only AI engineer. I also led the company’s ISO 9001:2015 certification and I’m a certified internal auditor, which is why audit trails and approvals show up in everything I build.

My stack is TypeScript, React, Tailwind, Supabase and Vercel, with Next.js for newer apps (including this site) and Python for evaluation and data work. I use AI coding tools heavily; the requirements, design, testing and production support are mine.

I speak English, Arabic and Malay, and I’m open to relocating.
